Website Accessibility

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. ps59.net is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. PS 59 Beekman Hill International internally assessed the accessibility of the ps59 website via self-evaluation practices with support from the W3C Accessibility Statement Generator Tool.

In addition to technical concerns (such as providing for screen reading software, ensuring those with color-vision deficiency can view our content, etc.), PS 59 Beekman Hill International takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the ps59 website:

• Include accessibility as part of our mission statement

• Include accessibility throughout our internal policies

• Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities

• Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods
